Dear leprechaun friends, here’s that amazing green juice you were asking for.
The line-up: Parseley, lemon, granny smith apples, spinach, ginger. YUM?
Juicing as its merits, but I think smoothies are easier, less expensive, and healthier.
“I think it’s time for a new subject,” my husband tells me as I write this post. But why? Obsession has not limits.
To begin: Add a cup of water. Three apples were sufficient, and 2 inches of peeled ginger. I have become a huge fan of ginger. It’s got this ZING.
Squeeze a whole lemon in there
Add big bunch washed parseley
Add one cup spinach. I bought a big ol’ case of spinach so you’re going to be seeing some spinach love around these pahts!
That’s it. Now blend baby, blend.
Have I, by chance, mentioned my Vitamix obsession?
And now for a little taste. WOW. I looked at Gregor. “The leprechaun’s are not going to drink that.”
So we added some frozen grapes and a banana.
Ice cubes
Aren’t you liking that green?
And now. We’re in business!
The little leprechaun’s think this is a big hit!
It tasted like Leprechaun Soda with ZING.
And it’s super duper healthy. It’s delicious and nutritious!
So complimentary to the meal, my one contribution. The man cooks the meat.
Drink up!

This looks good! Such pretty pictures, too!

Yum! I love your smoothie ideas. You inspire me to be healthy. Thank you!
Amy, your green smoothies look horrible! 🙂 Although I assume that they tasted better than they look, right?
Um…YEAH!
Ooh very GREEN! But I suppose that’s the point. I love all the ingredients but I don’t know that I could sell it to my little ones. Mind you I could call it Green Slime Smoothies that might go down well.
Interesting. I might have to buy that vitamixer thingy you’re talking about. Our mixer just broke, and I’m hankering for a smoothie. Maybe not THAT smoothie above, but a smoothie nonetheless. 🙂
Sounds great! Now drink it before it de-thawrs.
Looks awesome. I made a green smoothie for St. Patty’s Day too — vanilla ice cream and green food coloring. 🙂 Not quite as healthy as your concoction …
